Scaglia Takes Second Place at Cajun Classic

LAFAYETTE, La. – Cowboy junior Mathieu Scaglia took second place at the Louisiana John Breaux Cajun Tennis Classic after falling to Texas' Leonardo Telles, 6-4, 6-4 on Sunday.
"It was a great tournament," Scaglia said. "I was really happy to make the final. (Telles) played pretty well, credit to him. It was a great tournament."
Scaglia's run to the championship consisted of two tiebreakers and he faced three of the top four seeds in the tournament.
In the consolation bracket, sophomore Maxim Tybar fell to LSU's Malik Bhatnagar, 7-6(3), 6-3.
The Cowboys are back in action Sept. 29 at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa.
