Cowgirl Golf Facing Nation's Best With 2018-19 Schedule

STILLWATER – The 2018-19 Oklahoma State women's golf schedule will pit the Cowgirls against the nation's best teams on some of the country's most challenging courses with the goal of returning to the NCAA Championships for the 22nd time.
Led by head coach Courtney Jones, the Cowgirls will compete in eight different states before seeking their record 10th Big 12 championship just down the road in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on April 14-16.
After hosting the NCAA Championships last season at Karsten Creek in Stillwater, the Cowgirls can look forward to the 2019 championships being hosted just down the road by Arkansas at Fayetteville's Blessings Golf Course from May 16-29.
The Cowgirls will open their season on Sept. 17 at the fall's most prestigious event, the ANNIKA Intercollegiate, which is being held at the Royal Golf Club in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. Named for former LPGA star Annika Sorenstam, this year's will have the Cowgirls facing nine of the top 10 teams from last year's final Golfweek national rankings.
OSU will then head to Chicago to compete in the Windy City Intercollegiate (Oct. 1-2) for the eighth straight season. The Cowgirls won the event in 2011, and finished second last season thanks to Maddie McCrary, who won her first collegiate event at Northmoor Country Club.
The Stanford Intercollegiate (Oct. 19-21) in Palo Alto, California and the Landfall Tradition (Oct. 27-29) in Wilmington, North Carolina will round out the fall for the Cowgirls.
The spring season tees off with the always challenging Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, which is hosted by Ohio State in Palos Verdes, Calif., from Feb. 3-6. Last season, OSU faced off against six other top-10 opponents at this event, which is held at the Palos Verdes Golf Club.
Senior Chih-Min Chen has a pair of top-10 finishes at the All-State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate, which is taking place in New Orleans from Feb. 17-19 at the English Turn Golf & Country Club. This will be OSU's seventh straight appearance at the Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate.
The season gets rocking at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in Hilton Head, South Carolina. Named for the South Carolina grad and former Hootie & the Blowfish front man, the event is in its ninth year and features a challenging field and a private concert from Darius Rucker himself.
The Cowgirls will say "aloha" on their trip to the Annenue Spring Break Classic at Waikoloa, Hawaii. This will be OSU's fifth straight year playing in Hawaii, but their first time playing in this event, which has been hosted by the Univ. of Hawaii since 2012.
The Cowgirls will close out the regular season taking on the best the PAC-12 has to offer at the ASU/PING Invitational in Phoenix on March 29-31. OSU is a two-time champion of this event, which pays tribute to PING founder Karsten Solheim, the namesake of Karsten Creek in Stillwater.
The Cowgirls have qualified for every NCAA Regional since the inception of the format 26 years ago. This year's NCAA Regionals will take place from May 6-8 at the following sites; Auburn, Alabama; Cle Elum, Washington; East Lansing, Michigan; Norman, Okla.
