Summer Update: Past and Present Cowboys Thriving in Summer Action

STILLWATER -- Former Cowboy tennis standout Aleksandr Nedovyesov finished second in men's singles action at the Prague Open, which took place in the Czech Republic this past week.
Nedovyesov, currently holding a No. 264 world ranking, defeated three top-200 players to reach the championship match, where he fell to No. 205 Lukas Rosol, 2-1.
Nedovyesov posts a 17-11 singles record for the current year, and holds a 266-140 career singles record in the ATP/WTA Tour and ITF Pro Circuit main draw.
While at Oklahoma State, Nedovyesov became one of the most decorated Cowboys in program history. As a freshman, Nedovyesov was named Big 12 Freshman of the Year and the league's newcomer of the year. He went on to become a conference player of the year, an ITA All-Star team member and ITA National Player of the Year.
Current Cowboy Brady Draheim partnered with former Cowboy Lucas Gerch at the Germany F9 Futures Tournament in Wetzlar, Germany last week as well.
The pair reached the semifinals of the main draw where they fell to Marco Neubau of Spain and Kai Wehnelt of Germany, 4-6, 6-2 [11-13].
In his time at OSU, Gerch earned All-Big 12 honors in singles and doubles, and was named the 2016 Big 12 Scholar Athlete of the Year.
Also among current Cowboys set to compete this summer are Artur Dubinski and Maxim Tybar, who will team up to take part in the Belarus F1 Futures Tournament that will start August 6.
