May 19, 2018 | Cowgirl Golf
• Second Round Leaderboards
STILLWATER – Oklahoma State's Emma Broze shot a 2-over par 74 and will enter Sunday's round in a tie for 23rd place overall, but still in contention to advance to Monday's final round of stroke play at the NCAA Championships at Karsten Creek.
After Sunday's round is complete, the top 15 teams and the top nine individuals not on one of those teams advance to the final round of stroke play on Monday. Broze will enter Sunday at 3-over for the tournament, which is tied with three other golfers for the ninth and final individual spot.
"I had really good driving today, a lot better than yesterday," Broze said. "I think if I keep playing like this I can get a little closer to the pin tomorrow and then make a few putts and that would be huge."
Saturday, the senior teed off on the 10th and stayed even with par through her first eight holes. Broze bogeyed on hole 18 and posted a double-bogey on five. She managed a birdie on hole eight and finished the day off with an impressive par save on nine after finding the sand trap below the green.
Broze will tee off at 8:25 a.m. from the 10th hole. Tickets are available at okstate.com/ncaagolf and fans can follow the live scoring at GolfStat.com.
