March 30, 2018 | Cowgirl Basketball
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Oklahoma State's Kaylee Jensen was honored this week with her selection as a second-team Senior CLASS Award All-American.
Jensen was one of 10 candidates for the Senior CLASS Award, which is chosen by a nationwide vote of Division I women's basketball coaches, national basketball media and fans. The honor is given annually to the most outstanding senior student-athlete in Division I women's basketball.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: classroom, community, character and competition.
UConn's Gabby Williams was named the award's winner and was joined on the first team by Duke's Lexie Brown, Indiana's Tyra Buss, Western Illinois' Emily Clemens and Mississippi State's Victoria Vivians.
Joining Jensen on the second team was Ariel Atkins of Texas, Duke's Rebecca Greenwell, Eastern Washington's Delaney Hodgins and Jackie Kemph of Saint Louis.
