Cowgirl Duo Receives AP All-America Status

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team had a pair of players honored by the Associated Press on Monday with Loryn Goodwin and Kaylee Jensen receiving honorable mention All-America status from the outlet.
Named an All-Region 3 pick last week, Goodwin was also unanimously named a first-team All-Big 12 selection as well as the league's newcomer of the year and a member of its all-defensive team during her lone season as a Cowgirl.
The graduate transfer was also named to the Wade Trophy Watch List this season. Goodwin was selected as the ESPNW National Player of the Week and to the NCAA.com Starting Five on Dec. 11. She was tabbed as the College Sports Madness National Player of the Week two weeks later and was named the Big 12 Player of the Week on three occasions.
The Cypress, Texas native leads the league with her 20.6 points per game and her 3.5 steals per outing. Goodwin's scoring average ranks 19th nationally, while her steals average is eighth in the country.
Additionally, she is 11th among conference players in rebounding at 6.7 boards per game, is second in assists at 5.5 per contest and third in assist-turnover ratio.
For the second consecutive season, Jensen paces the Big 12 in rebounding at 10.7 boards per contest and also leads the league in double-doubles for the second year in a row with 19. The senior averaged 18.5 points per game this year, which ranks fifth among league players.
A native of Genoa, Neb., she ranks 12th in the conference in field-goal percentage at 51.4 percent, is eighth in free-throw percentage at 80.9 percent and sixth with her 1.3 blocks per game.
Jensen was one of 10 final candidates for the Lisa Leslie Award and was named to the watch list for the Naismith Trophy.
A unanimous first-team All-Big 12 pick, Jensen was also named a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award as well as a first-team Academic All-Big 12 selection. She was named the Big 12 Player of the Week twice and was chosen as the College Sports Madness Big 12 Player of the Week on one occasion.
The honors mark the eighth and ninth time OSU has been represented on the organization's All-America squad. The duo joins the likes of Andrea Riley (2008, 2009, 2010), Tiffany Bias (2013, 2014), Toni Young (2013) and Brittney Martin (2016).
