Cowgirl Golf Seeks Sixth Donnis Thompson Invitational Title

KANE'OHE, Hawaii - The Oklahoma State women's golf team will make its way to the 50th state to try and come out on top of the leaderboard at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational at Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course.
The Cowgirls have found success in the rainbow state, winning the event five times including back-to-back team victories in 2015 and 2016. OSU finished second at the event last season.
The event was named the Dr. Donnis Thomas, who was the University of Hawai'i's first woman athletic director, in 1999. The field will feature 12 other teams including Osaka Gakuin from Japan and defending champions Texas A&M.
Senior Emma Broze will try to carry her momentum from the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate where she finish tied for 11th place and scored 6-over par 219.
In the 2014-15 season when the Cowgirls took home first place in the event, Broze recorded her career low round of 67 and finished tied for second on the leaderboard with fellow senior Kenzie Neisen.
OSU will tee off at 8 a.m. HT (1 p.m. CT) Tuesday and live scoring can be followed at GolfStat.com
