Loryn Goodwin Added To Wade Watch List

ATLANTA – Oklahoma State's Loryn Goodwin was one of seven student-athletes added to the "Wade Watch" list by the WBCA NCAA Division I Coaches' All-America Selection Committee for the 2018 Wade Trophy it was announced today by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association.
Goodwin, a native of Cypress, Texas, currently leads the Big 12 with her 21.1 points per game and her 3.7 steals per contest. She is second among league players with her 5.4 assists per game and is fifth with her 2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio. Goodwin is sixth among Big 12 players with five double-doubles on the year as well.
The graduate transfer was named to the Cancun Challenge All-Tournament Team earlier this season and has twice been named the Big 12 Player of the Week. On Dec. 11, she was named the ESPNW National Player of the Week.
In addition to the Cowgirl guard, Ariel Atkins of Texas, Ruthy Hebard of Oregon, Teaira McCowan of Mississippi State, Jaime Nared of Tennessee, Tyler Scaife of Rutgers and Azura Stevens of Connecticut were added to the list.
Now in its 41st year, the Wade Trophy is the oldest and most prestigious player of the year award in women's college basketball. It is named in honor of the late, legendary Delta State University head coach Lily Margaret Wade. First awarded in 1978, the Wade Trophy has been presented to the WBCA NCAA Division I National Player of the Year since 2001.
The WBCA will announce the four finalists for the honor in mid-March. The winner of the 2018 Wade Trophy will be announced during ESPN2's telecast of the 2018 NCAA Women's Final Four national semifinal game on March 30.
