STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State's women's basketball team has added three standouts it was announced today by Cowgirl head coach Jim Littell. Kennedi Jackson, Sara Rodrigues and Bigue Sarr all signed National Letters of Intent and will join the program next season.
"We are extremely excited to add these three talented student-athletes to the Cowgirl family," Littell said.
Jackson, a 6-3 forward from New Orleans, averaged 12.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks during her junior season at Ursuline Academy, which has won two state titles in the past three years. She was named an honorable mention all-state pick a year ago and has been named an all-metro selection three times.
As a sophomore, she averaged 10.1 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. Jackson is ranked No. 18 at her position by ESPN HoopGurlz.
"Kennedi is a proven winner with size, strength and a high motor to go along with a strong work ethic," Littell said.
Sarr, a 6-3 native of Dakar, Senegal, played in 34 games a year ago for South Georgia Technical College. The forward/center averaged 7.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 0.3 assists and 0.6 blocks per game. Additionally, she shot 46.5 percent from the floor. Sarr was selected to participate at the NJCAA Women's Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Showcase after helping the Lady Jets to a 29-6 record and a Sweet 16 berth at the national tournament.
The Lady Jets captured the 2017-2018 Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association regular season title, won the NJCAA Region XVII tournament as well as the District J Championship.
"Bigue is an athletic, strong rebounder who finishes around the rim. She is tough minded and possesses a physical inside presence," Littell said.
A native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, Rodrigues is a product of Colégio Integrado de Guarulhos. The 6-3 guard/forward averaged 20.0 points, 15.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 2.1 steals and 4.0 blocks per game. Rodrigues has competed for her country in multiple events, including the 2016 FIBA U17 Women's World Championship in Spain. She was also on the Brazilian squads at the 2015 FIBA Americas U16 Championship and the 2014 South American U15 Championship.
"Sara is a long and athletic with the versatility to play multiple positions. She is a competitor and brings a lot of different assets to our program," Littell said.
