Cowboy Basketball: Welcome Marcus Watson

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State head coach Mike Boynton and the Cowboy coaching staff have signed one of the top recruiting classes in school history, which is currently ranked 15th or better by Scout, 247Sports and ESPN.

Marcus Watson – 6-6, 210, G, Buford, Ga. (Buford High School)
• Ranked as a consensus four-star recruit, and is listed by 247Sports.com as the nation's No. 45 overall player and the No. 8 shooting guard.
• A member of ESPN's Top 100 list, which also ranks Marcus as the No. 17 small forward nationally.
• Future150.com lists Marcus as the No. 47 player in the country, while Rivals.com has him at No. 84 overall and No. 21 at his position.
• The Atlanta Journal Constitution named Marcus First-Team All-State Class AAAAA.
• Named All-State Class AAAAA North by the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association in each of the last two seasons.
• Helped lead Buford to the 2017 Class AAAAA state championship after pouring in 27 points in the state title game against Cedar Shoals.
• Marcus averaged 22.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game as a junior and 18.6 points and 9.1 rebounds as a sophomore.
• Is the cousin of Oklahoma State head coach Mike Boynton.
