Astrup Leads Cowgirls In Second Round Of Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Stephanie Astrup opened the day with a pair of birdies and added two more over the rest of the round to lead the Oklahoma State women's golf team in the second day of action at the Landfall Tradition.
The sophomore was 2-over on the day to move to 3-over 147 overall and into a tie for ninth place. Astrup is just six strokes behind the leader, Maryland's Virunpat Olankitkunchai, with 18 holes to play.
As a team, the Cowgirls are at 32-over 608 and in 12th place. Arkansas leads the field at 9-over 585.
After an opening round 77, senior Chih-Min Chen responded with a 1-over 73 in round 2. Chen is tied for 26th overall at 6-over 150.
Emma Whitaker and Michelle Forsland are 11-over 155 and 12-over 156, respectively, while freshman Faith Hopkins is 18-over 162.
The Cowgirls will take the Country Club of Landfall course at 7:45 a.m. to play the final round of the Landfall Tradition. Live scoring can be found on Golfstat.com.
