Cowgirl Golf Finishes Stanford Intercollegiate With Solid Play

PALO ALTO, Calif. – The Oklahoma State women's golf team finished up play at the Stanford Intercollegiate at the Stanford Golf Course on Sunday.
The Cowgirls tied for 16th place with Harvard after shooting 53-over 905. No. 3 Southern California led wire-to-wire and finished up at 15-under 837. Pepperdine's Hira Naveed and UCLA's Mariel Galdiano shared medalist honors with scores of 8-under 205.
Sophomore Michelle Forsland led the Cowgirls today with a 2-over 73. Forsland ended the tournament tied for 42nd place.
Senior Chih-Min Chen and sophomore Stephanie Astrup finished the tournament with eight birdies a piece. Chen finished the tournament 10-over 223, tying for 47th place, while Astrup finished 12-over 225 to tie for 56th place. Emma Whitaker shot 23-over 236.
The Cowgirls will only have a couple days off until they head to Wilmington, North Carolina for the Landfall Tradition on Oct. 27-29.
