Both OSU Pairs Reach ITA Central Regional Semifinals

TULSA, Okla. – Two Oklahoma State doubles teams will face each other in the ITA Central Regional semifinals after they each won their quarterfinal match Saturday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The tandem of Emile Hudd and Maxim Tybar faced Bedlam rivals Jochen Bertsch and Max Stewart of Oklahoma. The OSU pair handled Bertsch and Stewart easily, beating them 8-3.
Artur Dubinski and Matej Vocel faced Will Davies and Oliver Okonkwo from Iowa and beat them, 8-4. Dubinski and Vocel will face Hudd and Tybar on Sunday at 10 a.m. for the right to go to the Central Regional championship.
In singles play, Dubinski battled back after dropping the first set to Josip Krstanovic of Minnesota, and won 2-6, 7-5, 7-5, in the round of 16.
The other two Cowboys to reach the round of 16 did not make the quarterfinals. Maxim Tybar fell to Murkel Dellien (Wichita State), 6-4, 4-6, 2-6, and Matej Vocel lost to Tulsa's Joshua Goodger in a back-and-forth battle, 6-7(2), 7-6(7), 7-6(4).
In the quarterfinal round, Artur Dubinski fell to Majed Kilani of Tulsa, 6-1, 4-6, 6-1.
