Five Cowboys Advance to Round of 32 at ITA Central Regional

TULSA, Okla. – Oklahoma State's men's tennis team will send five players to the ITA Central Regional round of 32 after OSU recorded eight victories on Thursday at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
In the first round of singles play, sophomore Brady Draheim defeated Andrea Caligiana of Wichita State, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. Fellow sophomore Luke Hammond bested Alex Reinke of North Dakota, 6-1, 6-1.
Maxim Tybar beat UMKC's Neil O'Connor, 7-6(2), 6-3. Freshman Emile Hudd was the only Cowboy to fall in the round of 128, losing to Jackson Allen of Minnesota, 7-5, 7-5.
In the round of 64, senior Artur Dubinski and sophomore Matej Vocel were victorious after their first-round byes. Dubinski beat Sebastian Vile of Minnesota, 6-3, 6-3, while Vocel bested Arkansas' Jose Alonso, 7-6(4), 7-5.
Junior Mathieu Scaglia fell in the round of 64 to Iowa's Oliver Okonkwo, 6-3, 6-4.
Draheim, Hammond and Tybar were all victorious in their second match of the day. Draheim beat Toby Boyer of Nebraska, 6-3, 6-4, Hammond defeated Matt Dunn of Omaha, 6-3, 7-6(8) and Tybar bested Oral Roberts' Andre Russo, 6-0, 6-3.
All of Oklahoma State's doubles tandems received first round byes and will compete Friday in the round of 32. Dubinski will compete with Vocel, Draheim with Scaglia and Hudd with Tybar.
