- Texas Tech used some hot shooting late in the second half to storm a comeback in tonight's game to take this one. Keenan Evans led the Red Raiders with 26 points.
- With a block in the first half, Mitchell Solomon became a member of the exclusive club of 500 rebounds, 100 blocks and a career shooting percentage of 50.0 or better. He is now the eighth member of club, joining the likes of Michael Cobbins, Byron Houston and Bryant Reeves to name a few.
- Carroll has rounded into form of late, and the senior has shown an ability to impact the game in more ways than just scoring. He led the Cowboys with 16 points in this one.
- Yankuba Sima continues to let his presence be felt in the paint against OSU's opponents. He blocked three shots in the game to give him three straight blocks in the last three games.
- The bench for OSU provided a large spark. OSU's bench outscored TTU's bench 36-18 in the game.
- Thomas Dziagwa is now a perfect 11-of-11 this season from the free throw line after knocking down two free throws. He is now a perfect 21-of-21 in his career.
- OSU had four players foul out in this one. The last time they had at least three players foul out was at West Virginia on Jan. 9, 2016.
- OSU falls to 13-7, and 3-5 in Big 12 play. OSU's record against ranked opponents would also fall to 3-5. The overall series would be OSU leading, 43-20 and would be OSU's first loss to Texas Tech since 2016. OSU has now lost its last five road games dating back to last season.
- OSU has made at least one three-pointer in 567 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 13, 2001, which is the 24th longest current streak in college basketball.
