Boynton Announces Addition Of Curtis Jones To Cowboy Basketball

STILLWATER – Oklahoma State basketball coach Mike Boynton has announced the addition of former consensus top-100 high school standout and Indiana guard Curtis Jones.
Jones starred at Huntington Prep in West Virginia, where he was ranked the nation's No. 11 combo guard by 247Sports and the No. 69 overall player nationally according to Rivals. The Richmond, Virginia, native signed with Indiana and played in 40 games for the Hoosiers over the last two seasons.
Currently listed as a sophomore, Jones is expected to be eligible for the Cowboys following the 2018 fall semester and will have two season to play. He is enrolled in classes at OSU and is eligible to practice with the Cowboys.
As a freshman in 2016-17, Jones appeared in 33 games for Indiana and shot 35.0 percent (21-of-60) from beyond the arc. He scored at least five points in 11 outings, including a season-high 15 points on 3-of-5 shooting from 3-point in the season opener against Kansas.
As a freshman, Jones averaged 3.5 points and 1.3 rebounds in 11.2 minutes per game, including a seven-point, two-assist effort in Indiana's NIT matchup against Georgia Tech.
Jones played in seven games for the Hoosiers in 2017-18 before transferring to Oklahoma State.
A highly-touted prep standout, Jones averaged 20 points, five rebounds and five assists per game as a senior at Huntington Prep under head coach Arkell Bruce. As a junior, he poured in 15.3 points and 3.9 assists per game.
Jones played his AAU ball for Boo Williams. Also competed in the Nike EYBL circuit during the summer of 2015, where he averaged 16.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists while shooting 35.4 percent from the 3-point line. Jones also participated in the NBA Top 100 camp and the Nike Skills Academy.
