Cowgirl Golf Debuts At No. 24 In Golfweek Poll

STILLWATER – With the year's first event on the horizon, the Oklahoma State women's golf team debuted at No. 24 in the year's inaugural Golfweek Top 30.
Led by four talented seniors, the Cowgirls will begin the fall season next week defending their title at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Seniors Maddie McCrary, Kenzie Neisen and Alexis Sadeghy all won their state championships over the summer, while Nervieux, France native Emma Broze finished her junior year ranked No. 66 individually by Golfweek.
In 2016, the Cowgirls ran away from a field that included eight other top-30 squads to win the Dick McGuire Invite in near-record fashion. After recording an opening round 14-under 274 - the second-lowest round in OSU history - Cowgirls closed the 54-hole showcase with a final score of 20-under 844 to win the tournament by nine strokes over No. 2 Arizona State.
OSU would go on to finish the 2016-17 season ranked No. 19 in both the Golfweek and Golfstat polls.
