Babic and Guinart Advance to Qualifying Finals at Team Luke Classic

LUBBOCK, Texas – Oklahoma State women's tennis players Vladica Babic and Marina Guinart remained perfect in singles action Sunday at the Team Luke Tennis Classic Sunday morning, as both advanced to the qualifying singles draw finals.
After an impressive win over Daniella Silva on Saturday, Babic added another straight-set win Sunday as she tallied a convincing 6-2, 6-3 decision over Texas Tech standout Sarah Dvorak to put herself one win away from advancing to Tuesday's main draw. Babic will face off with top-seeded Kennedy Shaffer of Georgia in the qualifying finals, set for Monday at 9 a.m.
Guinart came away with a three-set win over TCU's Aleksa Cveticanin on Sunday, defeating the Horned Frog, 6-3, 2-6, 6-1. Guinart's win sets the Cowgirl up for a big match on Monday against former Georgia Tech standout Rasheeda McAdoo for a spot in the main draw.
The two Cowgirls teamed up in doubles for a showdown with pros Victoria Duval and Alisa Kleybanova, but the tandem came up just short in a 6-2, 6-2 loss.
