Top Events, Challenging Courses Highlight Cowgirl Golf Schedule

STILLWATER – Head coach Courtney Jones and the Oklahoma State women's golf team announced their 2017-18 schedule, with the ultimate goal to return home to compete for an NCAA Championship.
The home of Cowgirl and Cowboy golf, Karsten Creek, is slated to host the women's and men's 2018 NCAA Championships in May. The Tom Fazio designed course previously hosted the men's NCAA Championships in 2003 and 2011, but will be hosting the combined championships for the first time.
The Cowgirls have advanced to the NCAA Championships 21 times in program history. The women's NCAA Championships are slated for May 18-23.
The regular-season portion of OSU's schedule will pit the nine-time Big 12 champions against the nation's best teams on some of the country's most challenging courses. OSU is scheduled to compete in nine different states prior to the 2018 Big 12 Championship in Dallas on April 21-23.
OSU will open the season by defending its crown at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The event begins on Sept. 11 on the University Course, which was also the site of last year's NCAA Regional for the Cowgirls.
The Cowgirls will be making their seventh consecutive appearance at the Windy City Collegiate Classic on Oct. 2, followed by a second straight trip the Stanford Intercollegiate on Oct. 16. This year's Stanford Intercollegiate will be played at the famed Poppy Hills Golf Course in Monterrey, Calif.
OSU will return to the site of Caroline Hedwall's 2010 NCAA individual championship at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C. on Oct. 27.
After the winter break, OSU will return to action in Palos Verdes, Calif., at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge on Feb. 11. The Cowgirls will be making their sixth straight appearance in the NGRC, which annually hosts one of the season's top fields.
A return to the Big East is once again in store for the Cowgirls. OSU will head to New Orleans for the All-State Sugar Bowl Invitational from Feb. 18-20.
OSU will crank up the tunes at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate in Hilton Head, South Carolina from March 2-4. Hosted by the pop and country music star, Darius Rucker, the Cowgirls have made this an annual event since Maddie McCrary earned a second-place finish in 2016.
OSU has won the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii five times in their history, and the Cowgirls will look to earn their sixth title on March 14-15.
The ASU/Ping Invitational is being hosted by the defending national champions on the Karsten Golf Course in Tempe, Arizona from March 23-25.
The Cowgirls will round out the regular season at the Tulsa Country Club in the Dale McNamara Invitational.
