Cowgirls Set to Host Third-Straight ITA Kickoff Weekend in 2018

STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State women's tennis team will be one of 15 hosts for the 2018 Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Kickoff Weekend next season, the organization announced Wednesday. It marks the third-straight season that the Cowgirls will be a regional host for the event.
The 10th-ranked Cowgirls will be the top seed in the region, which features three other teams seeded by ranking in No. 28 TCU, No. 32 Ole Miss and No. 34 Arizona State. The event is set for Jan. 26-29, 2018, with the winner of each regional advancing to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in Madison, Wis., scheduled for Feb. 9-12, 2018.
OSU has been victorious in four-straight ITA Kickoff Weekends, advancing to National Indoors each of those years. Most recently, the Cowgirls knocked off Cornell and TCU in Stillwater on the way to the 2017 ITA National Team Indoor Championships in New Haven, Conn.
The Cowgirls finished the 2017 season at 25-6 overall after claiming a second-straight Big 12 regular season title and making their second consecutive national quarterfinal appearance, where they came up short to eventual national champion Florida.
