• LMCC Final Bracket
ATHENS, Georgia – The Oklahoma State women's golf team picked up a 3-2 match-play win over Daytona State to claim seventh place at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic.
Linnea Johansson and Isabella Deilert both rolled to commanding 4-and-3 victories, while Kenzie Neisen posted a 3-and-2 win to help secure seventh for OSU, which entered the weekend ranked 19th nationally.
The 45th annual LMCC is one of the oldest and most unique events in collegiate women's golf. Much like the upcoming NCAA Championships, the LMCC is a combined stroke play/match play format that pitted the Cowgirls against seven other squads ranked among the GolfWeek top 50.
The event's host, No. 9 Georgia, claimed the overall crown at the UGA Golf Course thanks to a 3.5-1.5 win over No. 1 Alabama.
Bedlam Cup is up next for the Cowgirls. OSU will head to Norman to face Oklahoma at the Jimmie Austin Golf Club on Saturday, April 15. The event is free and open to the public.
OSU has won three of the four Bedlam Cup events, including each of the last two. The Cowgirls took down the Sooners, 13.5-2.5, last year at Karsten Creek.
