Cowboys Extend Record-Setting Top-10 Streak

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Oklahoma State men's tennis team continued to be a fixture in the top-10 of the Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Team Rankings this week, as the Cowboys came in at No. 8 in Tuesday's rankings.
OSU (21-5; 3-2 Big 12) has now held a spot in the top 10 for 10 straight weeks, which is the longest streak in program history. The squad has also been ranked inside the top 15 for the duration of the 2016-17 season up to this point.
Along with the team's top-10 ranking, a quartet of Cowboys continued to hold down spots in the ITA's updated individual rankings.
Julian Cash is highest-ranked Cowboy in both singles and doubles once again this week, as he sits at No. 6 in doubles with Arjun Kadhe and No. 24 in singles. Cash has now been ranked inside the top 30 since February 21, which is the longest streak by a Cowboy since Oleksandr Nedovyesov in 2010.
Cash and Kadhe's No. 6 ranking marks the All-American tandem's first time being ranked outside of the top five this season. The right-handed pair is 26-8 in matches when partnering with one another this season, with 12 of those wins coming against ranked competition.
Kadhe holds a second top-50 doubles ranking this week as well, as he and fellow senior Lucas Gerch checked in at No. 50. Gerch and Kadhe have been ranked in the top 50 for eight straight weeks now dating back to the senior tandem's triumph at the 128th Annual Pacific Coast Men's Doubles Championship on March 5.
Kadhe and Gerch both also occupy spots in the singles rankings, coming in at No. 103 and No. 110, respectively. Lukas Finzelberg rounds out the quartet at No. 76 in this week's updated rankings.
OSU concluded its regular season this past weekend, and will now switch gears heading into the 2017 Big 12 Tennis Championships, which are being held at the Headington Family Tennis Center in Norman, Oklahoma. The Cowboys are the No. 2 seed in the men's bracket and will face the winner of the Baylor-Texas Tech match in Friday's semifinals at 10 a.m.
Fans that can't make the trip to Norman will be able to watch all of the opening-round action on FloTennis, while both the men's and women's championships matches will be aired on Fox Sports.
