Cash and Kadhe Up To No. 2 In Latest ITA Rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. – Oklahoma State tennis' Julian Cash and Arjun Kadhe moved up one spot to No. 2 in the the Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Doubles Rankings, which were released on Tuesday.
Cash and Kadhe have been a catalyst for the Cowboys in doubles play this season, as the tandem has posted a 21-5 record in matches played together. The duo is also 11-1 in dual matches this season, with its only loss coming to Wake Forest's No. 1-ranked Christian Seraphim and Skander Mansouri.
OSU's All-American tandem has been ranked in the top five for the entire 2016-17 season up to this point.
Kadhe once again holds a second doubles ranking this week, as he and fellow senior Lucas Gerch are ranked No. 44 in the nation. Gerch also continues to hold two doubles rankings, sitting at No. 76 with Jurence Mendoza this week.
Aside from their No. 2 doubles ranking, Cash and Kadhe, as well as Lukas Finzelberg, also occupy spots in the ITA's singles rankings.
Cash is the highest-ranked of the OSU trio, as he is currently ranked No. 23. The right-hander has been ranked in the top-25 for the past three weeks and is the first Cowboy to achieve that feat since Oleksandr Nedovyesov in 2010. Cash is 15-5 in singles action this season and is currently riding a six-match winning streak dating back to his straight-set win over then-No. 5 Christian Sigsgaard during the Cowboys' final match at the ITA National Indoor Championship.
Finzelberg is the second-highest Cowboy in the singles rankings this week at No. 69. After a tough start to the spring season, Finzelberg has won his last three singles matches to bring his total to 14 for the season. Kadhe rounds out the trio of Cowboys in singles by coming at No. 77 this week. It is the fifth-straight week that the Pune, India native has been ranked.
Oklahoma State fell two spots in the team standings this week to No. 7, despite picking up two more victories last Friday to extend its winning streak to seven matches.
The Cowboys will continue their non-conference season this Thursday when they host Wichita State at the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center. First serve is currently scheduled for 5 p.m. OSU has won 23 of its last 26 meetings against the Shockers dating back to 1985.
