STILLWATER – The Oklahoma State men's tennis remained No. 12 in this week's Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Team Rankings, which were released today.
Wednesday's rankings mark the 28th consecutive week that the Cowboys have been ranked inside the top-30 of the ITA Rankings, which is the longest such streak for OSU during head coach Jay Udwadia's tenure. The Cowboys are also the second-highest ranked Big 12 program, trailing only No. 11 Texas in the rankings.
Along with updated team rankings, the ITA released a new batch of singles and doubles rankings on Wednesday.
Five Cowboys hold spots in the ITA's individual rankings, with Oklahoma State's All-American doubles duo of Julian Cash and Arjun Kadhe topping the group, sitting at No. 5 in the doubles rankings.
Cash also holds a spot in the ITA singles rankings, as he jumped up nine spots to No. 32. respectively. The junior defeated North Carolina State's Nick Horton, ranked No. 39, this past weekend to help OSU secure its first road win of the season.
Lukas Finzelberg also continues to hold a spot in the singles rankings, coming at No. 48 this week. Finzelberg is one of two Cowboys to have reached double-digit wins this season, with four of his victories coming against foes ranked in the top-100.
Jurence Mendoza rounds out the trio of Cowboys in the singles ranking, going from unranked to No. 65 after tallying four straight wins to open the dual-match season. Mendoza's No. 65 ranking is the highest of his career and the second time this season that the junior has held a spot in the top-100 after previously being ranked No. 97 during the fall.
Mendoza also jumped back into the doubles rankings this week, as he and partner Lucas Gerch sit at No. 50. Wednesday's ranking mark the second time the duo has been ranked this season and the first time that the pair has cracked the top 50.
