Cowboys Jump to No. 12 After ITA Kick-Off Weekend

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Oklahoma State men's tennis jumped up one spot to No. 12 in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association Team Rankings, which were released today.
Wednesday's rankings mark the 27th consecutive week that the Cowboys have been ranked inside the top-30 of the ITA Rankings, which is the longest such streak during head coach Jay Udwadia's tenure. Oklahoma State is also the second-highest ranked Big 12 program, trailing only No. 10 Texas in the rankings.
There were no updated singles or doubles rankings released on Wednesday, meaning that a trio of Cowboys continue to hold down spots in the individual rankings. OSU's All-American duo of Julian Cash and Arjun Kadhe highlight the group, as they sit at No. 5 in the doubles rankings.
Cash and Kadhe continued their impressive form during the past weekend's ITA Kick-Off in Stillwater, dropping Columbia's No. 34-ranked Shawn Hadavi and Jackie Tang, 6-1, in just 13 minutes to help the Cowboys secure the doubles point. The pair have won 13 matches this season, including three straight to open dual-match play.
Lukas Finzelberg remains Oklahoma State's highest-ranked singles competitor, as the senior is currently ranked No. 30 in the nation. Finzelberg has collected 10 wins this season, with four of those coming against top-100 ranked competitors.
Cash, who sits at No. 41, joins Finzelberg in the singles rankings. The junior has become a fixture of the ITA singles rankings, as he has now been ranked inside the top-60 since March 8 of last season.
Cash and the Cowboys continue their spring season this Sunday when they head to the east coast to face off with North Carolina State in their first road match of the season.
