Cowgirls Garner Weekly Awards

STILLWATER, Okla. – Oklahoma State's women's basketball team picked up several individual honors following its win over No. 7 UCLA last Friday in Stillwater. The win was OSU's first over a top-10 opponent since knocking off No. 4 Baylor on Dec. 30, 2015.
Graduate transfer Loryn Goodwin picked up three different player of the week honors, while Braxtin Miller was named the Big 12 Freshman of the Week.
Goodwin was tabbed the national player of the week by ESPNW as well as the Big 12 Player of the Week and the College Sports Madness Big 12 Player of the Week. For the Cypress, Texas native, it was the second week in a row she has received the distinction from the league office.
In the win over the Bruins, Goodwin scored a team-high 27 points while also recording team bests with five assists and three steals. Additionally, she grabbed six rebounds and made all nine of her attempts from the free-throw line.
In three games against ranked opponents this season, Goodwin is averaging 30.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.7 steals per contest.
Miller picked up the first weekly honor of her career after pouring in a career-high 19 points in the winning effort. The Centerville, Ohio native made eight of her 10 free-throw attempts and also pulled four rebounds to go with two assists and two steals in 38 minutes of action.
