Babic and Blanco Snag Top-10 Win at Riviera

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – The Oklahoma State women's tennis doubles tandem of Vladica Babic and Sofia Blanco got back on track at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships Friday morning at the Riviera Country Club, knocking off the seventh-ranked team of South Carolina's Hadley Berg and Paige Cline.
The Cowgirls bounced back with an 8-6 win over the Gamecock duo in consolation play after dropping a tough, 8-6 tiebreaker to Duke's Samantha Harris and Kelly Chen in the first round of main draw action on Thursday. The win sparked memories of 2016's All-American Championships, when Babic and then-senior Katarina Adamovic defeated Berg and Cline to spark a run through the consolation bracket where they knocked off three top-10 teams.
Babic and Blanco will face another tough test on Saturday as they'll take on the nation's top-ranked doubles team, Michigan's Kate Fahey and Alex Najarian.
