Cowboys Advance To Second Round of Main Draw

TULSA, Okla.- Oklahoma State men's tennis' Julian Cash advanced to the second round of the main draw at the Saint Francis Health System ITA Men's All-American Championships.
Cash faced University of Nevada at Las Vegas' Alexander Cozbinov in the first round of the main draw. Cash won the first set, 6-4, but then dropped the second set in a hard fought tie breaker 6-7 (5). The senior Cowboy rallied back in the third set, 6-1, to advance to the second round to be played tomorrow. Cash will face Gabriel Friedrich of University of South Carolina.
The OSU doubles tandem of Julian Cash and Maxim Tybar defeated Christopher Kougoucheff and Parker Wynn of Louisville after splitting the first sets and battling it out in the third set. The Cowboys won, 6-7 (6), 6-4, 10-7. Cash and Tybar will face the No. 3 ranked tandem, William Blumberg and Robert Kelly of University of North Carolina tomorrow at 2 p.m.
