Cowgirl Golf Opens Play At Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Led by great rounds from Kenzie Neisen and Chih-Min Chen, the Oklahoma State women's golf team completed the opening round of the Landfall Tradition at 6-over 284.
The Cowgirls will enter the second round of play on Saturday in seventh place at the Country Club of Landfall. After 18 holes, Duke's Ana Belac is atop the individual leaderboard at 6-under, while the Blue Devils are the top team at 11-under.
Neisen and Chen lead the way for OSU, both carding even par 72. Neisen and Chen combined for a total of seven birdies in their first 18 holes.
Cowgirl Maddie McCary isn't far behind. The OSU senior shot 2-over par and is currently tied at the 35th spot on the leaderboard after her return from LPGA Q-School in Florida.
Cowgirl freshman Stephanie Astrup posted a 4-over par on the day and will enter round-2 in the 58th slot.
With 36 holes left to play OSU will look to make a push to the top of the leaderboard tomorrow against the field, which includes 12 ranked teams in Golfweek's top-50.
