Three Cowboys Advance At ITA Central Region Championships

MINNEAPOLIS - Oklahoma State men's advanced three competitors through to Sunday's ITA Central Region Championship competition, as senior Tristan Meraut advanced in singles competition and the duo of Artur Dubinski and Eleftherios Theodorou pushed through in the doubles bracket.
Meraut advanced through to Sunday's action with a straight-set victory over Iowa's Kareem Allaf, 7-6 (8), 6-4. He was joined in singles action Saturday by freshman Maxim Tybar, who fell to host Minnesota's Stefan Milicevic, 6-4, 7-5. The loss ends an impressive week of singles action from Tybar during his first time competing in the central-region championships.
On the doubles side, Dubinski and Theodorou were victorious twice on Saturday, besting Minnesota's Justyn Levin and Josip Krstanovic, 8-2, and Arkansas' Joe Salazar and Adam Sanjurjo, 8-5, to advance to Sunday's semifinal round.
Dubinski and Theordorou will face Miroslav Herzan and Andrea Caligiana of Wichita State in the semifinals, while Meraut will take on Bedlem-rival Ferran Calvo of Oklahoma in singles action.
