Cowboy Basketball: Point Guard U

STILLWATER – With four All-American point guards since 2000, few programs have developed talent at that position like the Cowboy basketball program.
Jawun Evans is the latest to add his name to that list, joining Joe Adkins (1999-00), John Lucas III (2004-05) and Marcus Smart (2013-14). Evans was a two-time All-Big 12 performer who became the first OSU player to ever record a 600-point, 200-assist season.
He was taken with the 39th overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, and is expected to play a role with the LA Clipper as a rookie this season.
As a member of the Cowboy coaching staff last season, OSU head coach Mike Boynton was instrumental in developing a gameplan that could help Evans and the Cowboys succeed.
