Cowboys, Mountaineers Showdown Set For Friday, Dec. 30

STILLWATER - After upsetting West Virginia in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament just six months ago, Brad Underwood is scheduled to face Bob Huggins and the Mountaineers in his first Big 12 Conference game as the head coach at Oklahoma State.
That game is slated to tipoff at 3 p.m. Central on Friday, Dec. 30 at Gallagher-Iba Arena, and will air on ESPN2. Â
The relationship between Underwood and Huggins goes back for years, including the 2006-07 season when Underwood worked under Huggins at Kansas State.
On March 18, Underwood's No. 14 seed Stephen F. Austin squad beat No. 3 West Virginia, 70-56, to advance in the NCAA Tournament and give Underwood his 89th victory in just three seasons of coaching. Underwood would be named the head coach at OSU just three days later.
ESPN and the Big 12 have also released the tip time for OSU's game at Baylor on Jan. 7. That game is set to air on ESPNews at 6 p.m. Central.
The Cowboys open the 2016-17 season at home against Campbell at 7 p.m. on Nov. 11. Season tickets start at just $199 and can be purchased through the OSU Ticket Office online or by calling 877-ALL-4-OSU. Â
