June 09, 2016 | Cowboy Tennis
STILLWATER -- Oklahoma State's Julian Cash and Arjun Kadhe were both named to the 2016 Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-American doubles team, it was announced on Thursday.
Kadhe joins a special group at Oklahoma State as the junior becomes only the third player in program history to be named an All-American three times in his career, joining Oleksandr Nedovyesov and his former doubles partner Jakob Sude.
Cash earns his second career All-American honor in doubles play as the sophomore was named a doubles All-American last season at Mississippi State with his former doubles partner Florian Lakat.
The talented Cowboy duo caps off a special season in doubles play as they collected 35 doubles victories and two tournament titles, including being crowned champs of the 127th Pacific Coast Doubles Championship back in March.
Cash/Kadhe held a spot in the top 15 of the ITA Doubles Rankings throughout the whole season and reached as high as No. 5 in the country, which earned them an automatic bid to the NCAA Doubles Championship.
At the tournament, the Cowboy duo won two matches to make a quarterfinals appearance, which marked the third-straight season that an OSU doubles team had reached the quarterfinals of the NCAA Doubles Championship.
"I'm so proud to be a Cowboy and to be part of this program with this team and coaching staff," Cash said. "I can't wait to come back next season with everyone as we proved how far we can go. Next season we will start fresh by getting some good work in the fall to get ready for another memorable spring."
Entering next season, Kadhe can become the only Cowboy tennis player ever to receive four career All-American honors and Cash become the fourth Poke in program history to be a three-time All-American.
