Cowgirl Golf Advances To NCAA Nationals

SHOAL CREEK, Ala. – The Oklahoma State women's golf team earned a trip to the NCAA Championship with a third place finish at the Shoal Creek Regional.
This will be the program's 21st trip to the NCAA Championship, and the first for the Cowgirls since 2013. This year's event will take place May 20-25 at the Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Oregon.
At each of the four NCAA Regional sites the top six teams and the top three individuals not associated with those teams advanced to nationals.
The No. 9 Cowgirls were anchored by Linnea Johansson, who earned a ninth-place finish with a 9-over 225. Kenzie Neisen, the Big 12 individual champion, was just a stroke behind Johansson in a tie for 12th place after a pair of birdies on the back nine on Saturday.
Maddie McCrary earned a 20th place finish with a weekend of 13-over 229, while Emma Broze posted a 14-over 230, which was good for 24th place.
Chih-Min Chen finished in a tie for 50th place with a 19-over 235.
