Cowgirls Ranked No. 8 In Final ITA Poll

Stillwater, Okla. - Oklahoma State's women's tennis team has been ranked No. 8 in the final Oracle/ITA team poll of the 2015-16 season, released on Wednesday.
The Cowgirls (29-5) advanced to the first national title match in program history on Tuesday, a heartbreaking 4-3 loss to Stanford.
The Cowgirls' 29 wins are the second most in school history. OSU finished with a perfect 18-0 record in matches at the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center.
OSU won 18-straight matches before Tuesday's championship.
The No. 8 ranking is the highest of the season for the Cowgirls and the third time this season that OSU has been ranked inside the top 10. The ranking also ties for highest in school history.
The ranking also marks the highest finish in the rankings under head coach Chris Young.
OSU is back in the top 10 for the first time since March 1.
