Cowgirls Remain In Top 15

SKILLMAN, N.J. – Oklahoma State women's tennis remains in the top 15 in the latest Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, it was announced on Tuesday.
The Cowgirls check in at No. 13 in the ITA rankings after defeating No. 72 Oklahoma in a dominant 5-2 victory over the weekend. OSU (11-3; 0-0 Big 12) has taken the last three matches against the Sooners in the Bedlam series.
The Cowgirls are undefeated (8-0) at the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center this season, including five shutouts.
OSU owns nine wins against teams that appeared in the Oracle/ITA rankings this season.
The Cowgirls have been ranked inside the top 15 every week this season, being as high as No. 10 in the nation. OSU is one of three Big 12 teams in the top 25, joining the Cowgirls are Texas Tech (No. 7) and Kansas (No. 23).
In individual rankings, three Cowgirl doubles pairings are ranked in the top 50.
Leading the way for the Cowgirls is the senior duo of Maria Alvarez and Kelsey Laurente at No. 15. The Cowgirls upset the 12-ranked duo of Matea Cutura and Christine Maddox at the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic.
Katarina Adamovic and Vladica Babic are No. 45 in the newest rankings. Adamovic and Babic are 11-1 in spring competition.
Carla Tur Mari and Viktoriya Lushkova check in at No. 50 to close out the doubles rankings for the Cowgirls. The junior duo already own 20 wins this year, including a 13-1 mark in spring competition.
Three Cowgirls are featured in the latest singles rankings. Adamovic climbed three spots to No. 30 in the ITA polls after two straight wins against ranked opponents from Alabama and Oklahoma.
Babic remains in the top 40 of the rankings. The sophomore owns 17 wins on the season, including seven in the spring.
Lushkova closes out the Cowgirls' singles rankings at No. 65. The Cowgirl All-American has built an impressive 11-1 record in spring competition, including nine straight-set victories.
The Cowgirls return to action on March 16 against USC in Los Angeles.
