Confident Cowgirls Looking To Defend SMU/DAC Title In Dallas
March 31, 2016 | Cowgirl Golf
DALLAS – To say the Oklahoma State women's golf team is playing with confidence heading into Friday's SMU/DAC Invitational would be an understatement.
The No. 10 Cowgirls are coming off an impressive win in the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational last week in Hawaii, which gave OSU its fourth straight top-four finish.
Now, Oklahoma State is heading to the Lone Star State to defend its title at SMU's home course, the Dallas Athletic Club. In fact, OSU has won this event in two of the last three years. Julie Yang won the event in 2013, and Maddie McCrary finished third last year.
McCrary is leading the charge for the Cowgirls this spring, and has logged fourth, second and second place finishes in her last three outings. The sophomore is currently listed as the nation's 18th ranked college player by Golfstat.
