Martin Adds To List of Honors

STILLWATER, Okla. — Oklahoma State's Brittney Martin added a pair of accomplishments to her resume this week, earning All-America status from College Sports Madness and appearing on the Wade Watch list.
The Syracuse, Utah native was named a third-team All-American by College Sports Madness on Thursday after constructing a senior campaign that has seen her lead the Big 12 in scoring (20.3 ppg), rebounding (11.1 rpg) and steals (2.8 spg).
On Friday, Martin was one of 30 players named to the Wade Watch list by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association of America.
The Wade Trophy is presented to the nation's most outstanding NCAA Division I women's basketball player each year – one who not only excels athletically, but also serves as a positive role model both on and off the court. The acclaimed Wade Watch list, from which the Wade Trophy recipient is chosen, consists of players selected on the basis of game and season statistics, leadership, character, overall playing ability and the positive impact on her respective team.
The WBCA will officially announce The Wade Trophy winner during the WBCA National Convention, held in conjunction with the NCAA Women's Final Four in Indianapolis.
Earlier this month, Martin became the first-ever Cowgirl to be named the Big 12 Player of the Year as well as the league's defensive player of the year.
