Cowgirl Soccer Opens Spring With Win

TULSA, Okla. – Oklahoma State opened the spring exhibition season with a 3-1 win Saturday night at Oral Roberts.
Haley Woodard led the way for the Cowgirls with a pair of goals, both coming in the opening half. The freshman gave OSU a 1-0 advantage by scoring off an assist from Anna Beffer, then doubled the lead on a goal assisted by Courtney Dike.
Goalie Michela Ongaro kept the Golden Eagles off the scoreboard in the opening half.
OSU pushed its lead to 3-0 after intermission when Niki McKnight delivered a pass to Dike, who scored her first goal of the spring.
ORU's lone goal came late in the match when the Golden Eagles found the back of the net against Cowgirl goalie Ashton Hierholzer.
OSU returns to action March 5 at Texas A&M.
