Cowgirls Prepare For Blue Gray Classic

Match Notes - Auburn
The Cowgirls open the tournament against No. 61 Auburn, which enters the match with 11 wins and only one loss.
The Cowgirls return to action following a dominant 4-0 victory against No. 19 Washington at the Michael and Anne Greenwood Tennis Center.
The Blue Gray Classic is an annual, six team tournament that hosts some of the top teams in the nation. This year's field inlcludes: No. 10 Pepperdine, No. 28 Alabama, No. 58 Texas and Princeton.
Kelsey Laurente and Maria Alvarez are ranked as the No. 29 doubles tandem in the country due to their ITA Central Region title, after being unranked in the fall.
Viktoriya Lushkova and Carla Tur Mari are tabbed as the No. 33 pairing in the nation and Vladica Babic and Katarina Adamovic hold the No. 39 ranking.
Babic is the highest ranked Cowgirl in singles, earning the No. 29 spot. Adamovic is ranked No. 33.
All-American Lushkova checks in at the No. 47 spot in the latest ITA rankings of the spring.
The Cowgirls boast seven wins against ranked opponents so far this season through 11 matches.
The Cowgirls also own one win against Alabama, who was ranked No. 13 at the time. OSU also owns wins against a pair of teams in the latest ITA polls: No. 19 Washington and No. 21 Wichita State.
Seven of nine Cowgirl wins have come at home and the Pokes have outscored opponents, 51-12, through the first 11 matches of the spring season.
The Pokes have recorded five shutouts inside the Greenwood Tennis Center this season.
The Ukraine native sits at 9-0 in singles entering play at the Blue Gray Classic this weekend.
Lushkova and partner Carla Tur Mari are also unbeaten in doubles with a record of 10-0.
