- Entering tonight's game, Oklahoma State hadn't lost to Texas Tech in Gallagher-Iba Arena since 2003 - a span of 12 straight wins over the Red Raiders. Overall, OSU is 21-4 at home against TTU.
- OSU leads the overall series, 41-19, and has taken nine of the last 13 meetings in the series.
- The Cowboys shot 46.7 percent (14-of-30) from 3-point on the night, which is the second-best mark this season. Only the 11-of-21 performance (52.4 percent) in the home win over Kansas was better this year.
- Jeff Newberry led the Cowboys offensively with 16 points thanks to a career-high four makes from 3-point. Tonight was his 27th career dou-ble-digit scoring game.
- Tyree Griffin followed up his 12-assist performance at Kansas with eight dimes against the Red Raiders. The sophomore entered the night aver-aging 4.0 assists per big 12 game, which ranked sixth in the league.
- Leyton Hammonds also reached double-figures with 15 points, and has now scored at least 10 points or more in seven of his last eight games.
- The Cowboys used an 8-0 run midway through the second half to get back into the game. A 3-pointer from Tavarius Shine with 14:37 left in the game brough OSU to within a point of the Red Raiders, 42-41. Minutes later, the Red Raiders responded with a 7-0 run that the Cowboys weren't able to overcome.
- OSU was tied at the half for the first time this season and for just the 11th time in the Travis Ford era. Entering tonight, OSU was 5-5 in the Ford era when tied at the half.
- The Cowboys hit seven 3-pointers on 18 attempts in the first-half, both of which are the most in any half this season.
- The Cowboys had held four of their last five opponents to 23 points or less in the first half. Tonight the Cowboys allowed the Red Raiders to score 29 points.
- OSU is now 88-7 at home against unranked opponents in the Travis Ford era.
- The Cowboys started Tyree Griffin, Jeff Newberry, Leyton Hammonds, Jeffrey Carroll and Mitchell Solomon for the fifith straight game.
- Jeff Newberry is the only player to start every game for OSU this season.
- OSU has made at least one three-pointer in 510 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 13, 2001.
- For the first time this season, the Cowboys did not block a shot.
- The Cowboys finished with four turnovers which marks the second fewest in a game in school history.Â
