LAST TIME OUT
Big 12 Cross Country Newcomer of the Year Josh Thompson topped his personal best by more than 12 seconds in Seattle.
Although he finished fourth overall in a competitive final, Thompson's 3:58.33 from the race is the second- fastest mile in the Big 12 this season. Having transferred from Central Arizona, Thompson's impressive mark has vaulted him into the OSU all-time list at No. 5 in just his first season as a Cowboy.
Despite already qualifying for the Indoor Championships in the mile, 800-meter run and as a member of the distance medley relay team, the two-time Indoor All-American Kaela Edwards was at it again, this time in the 3,000-meter run at the Husky Classic.
Edwards finished fourth among collegiate athletes in 9:06.27. With her time, the Cowgirl All-American owns the Big 12 lead in three events this season with only two weeks to go until the Big 12 Indoor Championships.
Chase Ealey threw two personal bests in the shot put and weight throw. In the shot, she broke her own school record by two feet with a throw of 17.63m/57-10.25 , which is the best in the conference this season and the third best in the NCAA.
In the weight throw, Ealey launched a 19.36m/63-6.25 to finish fourth at the Tyson Invitational.
At the Don Kirby Elite in Albuquerque, New Mexico, John Teeters advanced to the 60-meter semifinal with the top-time of 6.56 in the preliminary round, but did not run in the semifinal.
Freshman Malik Givens topped his personal best, once again, at the Tyson Invitational with a 6.80 time in the 60-meter preliminary round. Givens won heat two in a photo finish to grab an automatic qualifying spot into the next round of the hotly contested event that featured four sprinters with top-10 times this season. Givens came up just short of a trip to the final with a 6.82.
Â
A LOOK BACKÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
The Oklahoma State women's track and field team wrapped up its indoor regular season at the 2015 Alex Wilson Invitational, highlighted by the third fastest distance medley relay time in school history.
Jennifer Celis, Stephanie Ferrante Clara Nichols and Kaela Edwards combined to finish the event in just 11:08.13, which is also the second fastest time in the Big 12 this season.
Aurora Dybedokken and NCAA champion Natalja Piliusina also competed in the one mile run.
    Piliusina, a seven-time All-American and eight-time Big 12 champion, made her indoor season debut, running a 4:53.74.
That race marked Piliusina's return to the track following a two-year battle with injuries. She had last competed at an event in 2013 before running in South Bend.
The native Lithuanian had one NCAA outdoor title in the 1,500-meter run as a Cowgirl and holds seven school records.
Dybedokken finished ninth in the event and put up a time of 4:49.86.

BOWERMAN UPDATE: WEEK THREEÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
The second Bowerman list of the season was released Feb. 4, and two Cowboy stars were featured. One made the elite list of 10, while the other received a nod for the first time this season, just missing out on the list.
Nick Miller held his spot in the Bowerman top-10. The Cowboy senior and British Champion has not competed this indoor season, but is expected to make a return to the Cowboys in 2016 after redshirting this past outdoor season.
Making his debut on the list is speedster John Teeters. With his impressive performances in the past three weeks, Teeters has returned to the top of the NCAA in the 60-meter dash, leading the event for the second time in two seasons. Last season, Teeters' 6.52 gave him the joint-top time in the nation after the Indoor season. He finished as the national runner-up.
Teeters has qualified for the Indoor Championships this season, while Miller's highly anticipated debut doesn't yet have a date set.
The next Bowerman update is scheduled for March 4.
