Cowboy Duo Secures Their Spots In Futures Main Draw

HARLINGEN, Texas – Oklahoma State tennis' Julian Cash and Arjun Kadhe both collected wins on Monday to advance into the main draw at the Harlingen Country Club Men's $25,000 Futures event.
Cash and Kadhe were both dominant once again as the Cowboys both won their matches in straight sets to advance into Tuesday's main draw.
Cash squared off with Gonzalo Achondo in his third contest of the tournament. The Brighton, England native made quick work of his opponent as he dominated en route to his third straight-set win in as many days, 6-1, 6-2. Cash will now square off with Dominik Koepfer in the Round of 32 on Tuesday.
Kadhe faced a bit more trouble than his teammate in his matchup with Hunter Johnson, but ultimately was able to dispatch of the American relatively easily and pick up the win, 6-4, 6-3, to advance in the tournament. The Pune, India native will now go head-to head with John McNally tomorrow in the first round of the main draw.
Today's matches narrowed the singles field to just 32 competitors, meaning that tomorrow will mark the beginning of the main draw. The Cowboys will be back in Stillwater later in the week though as they are set to host this year's ITA Central Regional Championship, which is slated to begin on Thursday.
