STANFORD, Calif. – Linnea Johansson posted a pair of opening-round birdies to lead the Oklahoma State women's golf team in the opening round of the Stanford Intercollegiate on Friday.
The senior birdied No. 10, a 380-yard par 4, as well as No. 17, a 165-yard par three. That brought Johansson to 1-over on the day, and she will enter Saturday's round tied for 11th place.
Overall, the No. 17 Cowgirls were 18-over on the day and will enter round-2 tied for 11th place. Northwestern leads the field at 1-over 285, while San Diego State's Georgia Lacey leads all individuals at 4-under 67.
Isabella Deilert and Kenzie Neisen both carded rounds of 5-over 76, and are tied for 50th place overall. Alexis Sadeghy is 7-over and tied for 62nd place, while Chih-Min Chen is in 85th place at 12-over 83.
