Johansson Narrowly Misses Cut In First Euro Tour Event; Lindberg Moves On

HELSINGBORG, Sweden – Oklahoma State junior golfer Linnea Johansson missed the cut by one stroke at the Helsingborg Open, a Ladies European Tour event in Sweden, while former Cowgirl Pernilla Lindberg sits in 22nd place heading into the weekend.
Johansson earned an amateur exemption to play the event, which was a short 40-minute drive from her hometown of Bastad, Sweden. After carding an opening round 4-over par 77, Johansson rebounded with a 2-under 71 to move her to 2-over – just a stroke off the cut line in her first professional event.
Lindberg, who turned pro in 2009, survived the cut thanks to an opening round 3-under par 70. She will head into Saturday's third round in 22nd place.
Former Cowgirls Caroline Hedwall and Josephine Janson, both Swedes, also narrowly missed the cut at the event.
