Kadhe Advances To Quarterfinals At Cajun Classic

LAFAYETTE, La. – Oklahoma State's Arjun Kadhe won both of his singles matches on Thursday to clinch a spot in the quarterfinals at the Cajun Classic.
Kadhe got off to a great start, as he took care of Georgia's Walker Duncan in straight-sets, 6-4, 6-4. In the Round of 16, the No. 66-ranked singles player lost the first set to Trevor Johnson of TCU, but battled back to take the second set and grinded out the third set to get past Johnson, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.
No. 74 Lucas Gerch faced TCU's Reese Stadler in the first round, as he needed an extra set against the Horned Frog, but got the job done, 6-2, 1-6, 6-1, respectively. The junior would fall to Paul Oosterbann of Georgia in the Round of 16, 6-3, 7-6.
Sophomore Julian Cash made his orange and black debut as he faced Emil Reinberg of Georgia. Cash fought hard, but would fall to the Bulldog, 6-4, 6-4. Cash won his first singles match as a Cowboy in the back draw facing Lousiana Lafeyette's William Huyton, 7-5, 6-4.
The quarterfinals will get under way tomorrow at noon, where Kadhe will face Nick Crystal of Southern California for a spot in the semifinals. Gerch and Cash will continue singles play in the consolation bracket, which will get started tomorrow as well.
The doubles portion of the tournament will begin at 2:30 p.m. with doubles All-Americans Cash/Kadhe making their fall season debut against Kramarov/Kritzinger of Louisiana Lafayette in the Round of 16.
