Cowboys Draw Towson In Charleston Classic Opening Round

STILLWATER – Matchups are set for the 2015 Gildan Charleston Classic, which will pair Oklahoma State against Towson in the opening round at TD Arena on Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. Central.
Coached by Pat Skerry, Towson is only three years removed from posting the biggest single-season turnaround in NCAA history (from 1-31 to 18-13) and two seasons from a 27-win campaign. The Tigers are looking to rebound from a 12-20 record in 2014-15.
The second-round matchup on Nov. 20 will feature either Mississippi or George Mason. Ole Miss was 21-13 last season, including a win over BYU in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Rebels, coached by Andy Kennedy, won the SEC Tournament in 2013.
George Mason will be led by three-time Patriot League Coach of the Year Dave Paulsen, who takes over a Patriot program coming off a 9-22 season. GMU advanced to the Final Four in 2006.
The broadcast schedule will vary with each game, but the opener against Towson will air on ESPN3. If OSU were to win that game, ESPN2 or ESPNU would carry the noon tipoff on Nov. 20 against either Ole Miss or George Mason.
Potential third-round opponents for the Nov. 22 game include Virginia, Bradley, Seton Hall and Long Beach State. The championship game is slated for ESPN2 on Nov. 22 at 8:30 p.m. Central.
