Hoops Team Returns Early From Brief Vacation
August 14, 2015 | Cowboy Basketball
STILLWATER – After over two months of hard work, Oklahoma State head coach Travis Ford gave his Cowboys a tiny two week break to enjoy their summer, but the majority of the team returned to town early – some a full week early.
Why would a college student cut short a vacation, especially considering the next chance he'll have to catch his breath will come after the 2015-16 basketball seasons comes to a close?
"This is my home away from home," said senior Phil Forte, who came back a full week early from Flower Mound, Texas to get in countless shooting reps on the Gallagher-Iba Arena floor. "Plus, I'm pretty motivated. I'm going to do everything I can to make sure this season is nothing short of a success."
Forte isn't the only one. He was joined by several teammates who offered their brief break to workout on their own in Stillwater.
