Men’s Tennis Garners Academic Honors

STILLWATER, Okla. – The Oklahoma State men's tennis team was named one of the 2015 All-Academic Teams by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. In addition, three Cowboys were named ITA Scholar Athletes in Nicolai Ferrigno, Lukas Finzelberg and Nate Roper.
To be recognized as an All-Academic team, a squad must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. This is the first time since 2003 that the Cowboys have received the honor and the third time in program history.
On an individual level, Ferrigno, Finzelberg and Roper were named Scholar Athlete award winners. It's the first time in program history that the Cowboys have had three honorees. Ferrigno and Finzelberg were also named Academic All-Big 12 First Team selections this year.
In order to earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status a player must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year, and have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
