Brown, Smart, Anderson Red Hot In NBA Summer League Action

LAS VEGAS – A trio of former Oklahoma State standouts – Markel Brown, Marcus Smart and James Anderson – are taking the NBA Summer League by storm.
Brown has been the story of the Brooklyn Nets summer campaign in Las Vegas. The second-year pro is averaging a team-best 15.5 points per game, and has a team-high 11 assists through four games.
Brown and the Nets take on the San Antonio Spurs tonight in the second round of the summer league playoffs.
After a 26-point performance in the summer league opener, Smart has the Boston Celtics poised to make a run in the playoffs. Smart, an NBA All-Rookie team selection in 2015, is averaging a team-high 18.2 points combined in the Utah and Las Vegas sites.
The Celtics take on the Portland Trailblazers tonight in the second round of the summer playoffs.
Anderson started three games for the Sacramento Kings, and ranked second on the team with an average of 12.3 points per game. The 2010 Big 12 Player of the Year is a team-best 14-of-22 (63.6 percent) from the floorin 23.3 minutes per game.
Michael Cobbins earned a spot on the Oklahoma City Thunder roster and didn't disappoint. The forward saw action in three games, and averaged 3.0 points, 2.7 rebounds and nearly a block per game. He was 4-of-8 from the field during his trip to Orlando.
OSU grad Darrell Williams has seen action in three games for the Chicago Bulls, and has three points and four boards to his credit. He and his Bulls teammates take on the Toronto Raptor in an elimination game today.
